This Sydney CBD commercial project won and Master Painters of Australia Award for Excellence in 2012 in the metal/industrial finishes painting category. The project was to rejuvenate the building’s metal exterior panels. As there is heavy foot and car traffic during weekdays, the work was performed over a weekend.

We used a HLVP (high-volume, low-pressure) spray gun that gives a more consistent coverage than conventional spray guns, with minimal overspray. The challenge was to complete the work in a very short time frame while managing traffic, protecting other areas, preparing and applying the coatings, as well as doing a full clean up at the conclusion of the job.

A Quantum gloss polyurethane, clear varnish and a final Quantum clear coat was used to achieve a long lasting finish.
