Manar Potts Point is one Of Australia’s most significant apartment buildings. It is an incredible example of period architecture and a pioneer of apartment living in Sydney. It has been home to a long line of Sydney’s most notable cultural, intellectual and political icons.
We started this project working on one of the three buildings in this complex and within a year, the other two decided to use our services to restore their exteriors.
Manar Building Number 1 was a winner of the Master Painters of Australia Award for Excellence in 2012 for the Multi-Unit Residential Painting category. In 2014, the second building that we painted in the complex was a Finalist in the Multi-Unit Residential Painting category, and in 2015, the third building that we painted won the 2015 Multi-Unit Residential Painting category.
The heritage restoration project was very complicated and time consuming with many paint issues, which is typical in a building of this age. It required scaffolding on most of the sections facades, Council approval and traffic controllers. The end result was outstanding and we are very fortunate to have been chosen to restore this iconic building.
