The owners of the house engaged 3 Colours to undertake a complete exterior repaint of their home, which had not been repainted in over 15 years. The existing colour scheme had become dated, and the original cement-based coating presented unique challenges.
Unlike traditional acrylic finishes, the cement paint used on the building required a specialised approach to ensure compatibility and breathability. 3 Colours conducted a thorough assessment and identified Murabond as the most suitable solution — a mineral-based paint system designed to bond with cementitious substrates while allowing vapour permeability.
In parallel with the technical specification, our colour consultant collaborated with the owners to deliver a fresh, refined palette in keeping with the home’s architectural character. The updated scheme modernised the appearance while respecting the property’s traditional features.
The result is a vibrant, durable finish that revitalises the home’s façade while preserving its underlying materials.
