House Painting Newport

This coastal residence at Newport underwent a complete interior and exterior repaint as part of a significant renovation. The brief required high-end finishes across both wet and dry areas, extensive timber detailing, and external architectural features including fascia boards, eaves, balcony slabs, claddings, and gables.

Working alongside the builder, 3 Colours was engaged to deliver a premium Dulux-accredited coating system that would both elevate the property’s visual appeal and provide long-term durability in a coastal environment.

The project required seamless coordination with other trades, particularly plasterers, as any imperfections in the plasterwork would directly affect the final paint finish. The coastal location also presented environmental considerations, requiring robust surface preparation to protect against mould, moisture, and salt exposure.

With both interior and exterior scopes running concurrently, the team needed to minimise disruption while maintaining consistent workmanship and protecting the property from damage during works.

• Interior finishes across ceilings, walls, doors, frames, skirting, entranceways, and stair undersides using a multi-coat Dulux system.
• Exterior works including fascia boards, eaves, balcony slabs, soffit boards, columns, claddings, chimney, and retaining walls – all prepared, primed, and finished to withstand the local coastal environment.
• Comprehensive preparation, including cleaning, mould treatment, filling, sanding, caulking, and undercoating prior to application of premium Dulux coatings.
• Quality control in line with AS2311:2000 standards, supported by a 5-year workmanship warranty and Dulux’s 5-year product warranty.
