The Owners Corporation of 98–100 Ocean Street engaged 3 Colours to undertake a full exterior repaint of their coastal property. With the building exposed to harsh seaside conditions, the objective was to refresh the presentation of the façade while ensuring long-term protection against the elements.
The scope focused exclusively on the external elements of the main building, including the walls, PVC pipes, and skylights. Aluminium windows, security doors, gates, and fencing were excluded from the brief. Given the property’s multi-storey structure and proximity to landscaped areas, the project was delivered entirely via rope access to avoid damage and disruption to residents and surroundings.
Over a four-week period, 3 Colours implemented a multi-coat system tailored to each surface type. Walls were treated with Emerclad Primer followed by two coats of Emerclad Façade, selected for its durability and architectural finish. PVC pipes and skylights were coated with Weather Shield to ensure resilience and colour retention in high-exposure areas.
Throughout the project, care was taken to support residents with clear communication and proactive measures, including interior access to protect glazing and assistance in clearing balconies as required. The result was a clean, cohesive, and weatherproof finish that reinvigorated the building’s exterior while respecting its architectural integrity and coastal context.
