Project Description

Strata Rope Access Painting

3 Colours was engaged by the Owners Corporation of 38–42 Parraween Street, Cremorne to undertake a comprehensive interior and exterior painting and restoration project. This scope included both common property interiors and full façade works, forming part of the owners’ ongoing commitment to the preservation and presentation of their building.

The internal works comprised the repainting of ceilings, walls, apartment doors and frames, service doors, and the lift passage leading to the garage. Externally, the project extended across building walls, balcony slabs and soffits, garden bed walls, stairs and stair landings, a timber bench, steel beams at the portico, and the car wash bay, including its floor and walls.

To ensure long-lasting protection and a high-quality finish, our team applied a premium coating system tailored to each surface. This included Wattyl GranoImpact for masonry walls and balcony slabs, Solagard for soffits and balcony undersides, Aquanamel enamel for timber and metal detailing, and durable paving and floor finishes such as Noglass and Durabuild STE. All colours were carefully matched to existing finishes to maintain architectural integrity.

Given the site’s complexity and multi-level access requirements, 3 Colours carried out the work primarily via rope access, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and no impact to surrounding landscaping or infrastructure. Additional safety measures included internal apartment access where required to protect glazing during rope landings, and proactive support to residents in moving items on balconies.
