Pommeroy Building Restoration - Potts Point

3 Colours was engaged to carry out remedial and repainting works to the façade of Pommeroy, a contemporary multi-level residential building showing signs of surface deterioration and ageing coatings. The goal was to restore the building’s original aesthetic while providing long-term weather protection through premium coating systems.

Scope of Works

The project involved detailed preparation and full façade repainting, including:

• High-pressure washing to remove dirt, grime, and chalked paint
• Concrete repair and crack rectification across external elevations
• Recoating of rendered walls, reveals, soffits, and parapets
• Repainting of metalwork including balcony balustrades and window frames
• Application of flexible Dulux AcraTex system to improve durability and prevent water ingress

Challenges

The site’s elevation and urban positioning required a combination of rope access and elevated work platforms for full coverage. Coordinating work schedules to minimise disruption to residents and surrounding properties was a key focus throughout delivery.

Outcome

The completed project restored Pommeroy to its original architectural appeal, delivering a smooth, even finish with enhanced weather resistance. The refreshed façade not only improved the building’s street presence but also extended the lifespan of its external coatings, ensuring continued protection in Sydney’s varied climate.
