Strata Remedial Painting Glebe

3 Colours was engaged by the Owners Corporation of this boutique strata complex in Glebe to undertake remedial works and a full facade repaint. The project aimed to restore the building’s visual appeal while addressing structural and weatherproofing issues that had developed over time.

Scope of Works

The works involved a combination of remedial repairs and protective coatings to ensure long-term durability and aesthetic consistency:

• Render repair and patching of damaged areas
• Installation of new expansion joints to manage building movement and prevent cracking
• Repainting of all external facades and common areas
• Access achieved through a combination of scaffolding, ladders, and rope access methods to ensure safe and efficient delivery across elevations
• Application of a high-performance Dulux AcraShield coating system, chosen for its flexibility and superior weather resistance

Challenges

Working in an established residential area required careful planning to minimise disruption to residents and maintain pedestrian safety. The combination of access methods also required close coordination between painters and access technicians.

Outcome

The project successfully renewed the building’s presentation while improving its protection from the elements. The AcraShield system provides a durable, flexible finish designed to resist cracking and environmental wear, ensuring the building’s fresh, modern look is maintained for years to come.
